Smartphone markers tend to focus more on making premium devices which have beautiful metallic designs as well as big screens and high performance specs which are target for the high end consumer. Others like Motorola have built their brands by not neglecting the low end.
Motorola embarked on a mission that will see them kill the feature phone with barely passable specs with its first generation Moto E which was introduced to the market last year. The company is now ready to bury feature phones once and for all with its second generation of Moto E.
Motorola will begin selling two Moto E models which run on Android 5.0.2 “lollipop” in more than 40 countries starting this Monday. One of the the two phones that Motorola will be introducing has 3G $119 and the other has 4G/LTE for $149.
When it comes to dimensions, the new Moto E phones are a little bit thicker and heavier. The phone also comes with a slightly larger screen of 4.5-inch. As compared to the first generation of Moto E, the second generation has a similar display resolution of 960*540, for pixel density, the second generation of Moto E is lower as compared to that of the first generation. Just to be exact there has been a drop from 256 pixels per inch down to 245.
On paper, the second generation of Moto E appears to be very fast. The 3G Moto E has a 1.2 Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor while the 4G/LTE has a 1.2 Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor.
